STSV 71 Adaptive Computer Access: Word Processing
(Orientation Required for Fall and Spring)*
Students with various disabling conditions are assessed on computer knowledge and skills.
Students receive guided instruction on the use of computers and access technology.
Access technology applications include JAWS, Dragon NS, Kurzweil, Zoomtext, Open Book,
Duxbury and others.
STSV 72 Learning Assessment
An intensive diagnostic learning assessment process will be conducted for students with
learning disabilities. Emphasis will be placed on assessing specific academic and learning
modality strengths and weaknesses.
STSV 75 Adaptive Computer: Learning Strategies
(Orientation Required for Fall and Spring)*
Students will receive lab/guided instruction to improve study strategies and basic learning
skills through computer-assisted instruction. The course is designed for students with
learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
STSV 71/75 Fall 2005 Orientation Schedule - each is 1.5 hours in length:
All students must attend an orientation session during any of the first four scheduled days of the semester. Orientations will be held daily at 9:00am and 1:00pm for NEW students and 11:00am and 3:00pm for RETURNING students in the Adaptive Computer Lab (804L). Space is limited, advanced sign-up for an orientation session is strongly recommended; see Adaptive Services Center (DSS) staff.
